Time For The Topsfield Fair
The Universe has a funny way of listening to what you want and delivering it in unique ways.
At the beginning of the summer, our family put together what we called our “beach bucket list.” It included activities we wanted to do and places we wanted to go over the course of the summer.
One that Emily mentioned wanting to do was to visit an old-fashioned country fair. While she has been to them as a little kid, she doesn’t remember them and with her love of animals wanted to experience it all over.
About the same time, I had a few calls with the team behind the U.Fund Dreams Tour about partnering with them. We came to an agreement and part of that was for me to attend and write about two stops on the tour.
A few months back we attended the WGBH FunFest and this weekend we are excited to go to the Topsfield Fair.
Watching the Boston area weather forecast this morning, the weekend now looks ok for our planned excursion. Hopefully it holds!
Going to the fair means fried food, seeing lots of livestock and this year, learning about saving for college.
The whole purpose of the 2015 U.Fund Dreams Tour, presented by Fidelity & MEFA, is to encourage and educate parents to start thinking about saving for college. Their highly interactive booth will be staffed by knowledgeable professionals who can answer any questions you might have.
We all know it is never too early to start saving for college, so why not learn more about it while enjoying a corn dog or fried dough at the Topsfield Fair this weekend.
If you are going, be sure to find the U.Fund Dreams Tour booth and let me know so perhaps our paths can cross.
Disclosure: I’m working with Fidelity Investments and MEFA to spread the word on the U.Fund Dreams Tour. All opinions are my own.
